Parcel Label
The Parcel Label is a rectangular 64 x 36 mm flexible, converted adhesive RFID label placed on a silicon paper liner. An additional pre-cut appendage (side label) can be removed or retained as part of the main inlay for printing additional information if necessary.
The association between the unique RFID identifier of the Parcel Label and the item number located in a data base can be programmed automatically for high volume tag initialization on the PLEXUS™ RFID Printer. By default the unique RFID identifier of the Parcel Tag (2D Barcode - 10 digits) is printed on the Parcel Label.
The Parcel Label was designed for the diamond industry and similar applications – its size matching with the standardized diamond parcel dimensions and for optimal performances within the PLEXUS™ cabinet line. It can also be used in other applications where close proximity or 3D reading is required for large tag populations (document tracking).
Parcel Inlay
The Parcel Inlay is a rectangular 62 x 32 mm flexible RFID inlay, top and bottom laminated with a protective transparent foil. A self-adhesive label carrying a barcode number corresponding to the chip unique identifier number or any other graphical information can be applied manually to the Parcel inlay.
The Parcel Inlay was designed for the diamond and related industries and applications – to be placed inside a diamond parcel for multiple reuses within a diamond workflow process. It can also be used in other applications where close proximity or 3D reading is required for large tag populations.
Ferrite Tag
The Ferrite Tag is a cylindrical shaped RFID tag, in which the antenna coil is wound around a ferrite rod to increase field strength. The Ferrite Tag is designed to be attached to items containing metal - typically jewellery and watches. The tag is available in various sizes (see SPACECODE Swing Tag) capable of being attached to, or integrated into, products. Customers can also decide on other customized or branded plastic protection.
The coil windings and the antenna-chip connection are protected by a coating. Further encapsulation or injection in a plastic housing is recommended to ensure sufficient protection against shocks and other mechanical constraints.
The Ferrite Tag was designed for the jewellery and watch industry for optimal performances within all PLEXUS™ cabinets associated with a high density metallic products or environments.
Swing Tag
The Swing Tag is a rectangular 26 x 16 mm black plastic tag designed to be attached to objects with high metallic content in the PLEXUS™ RFID system such as jewels or watches. It is made from a plastic injection mold integrating a SPACECODE Ferrite Tag.
The front side of the inlay has space for a self-adhesive label containing a 2D or Datamatrix code representing the chip unique identifier number or any other custom information requirements.
The Swing Tag is finished with a black 70mm string for reusable attachments to the traced items.
